The exam dates and schedule for IBPS PO 2020 have been released by IBPS. The Institute of Banking Personnel conducts IBPS PO Bank Exam every year for entering the most preferred bank. The IBPS PO Exam helds every year and IBPS shortlist a few candidates every year for clerical and post of PO for the numerous nationalized banks that are listed under it.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern


IBPS PO 2020 will be conducted in three phases- Preliminary exam, Main exam, and an Interview Round and it is compulsory for all the students to give all three rounds.

In the prelims examination 100 multiple choice questions from the Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language.
The preliminary examination will have a total duration of 1 hour 20 Mins and in total it has 3 sections with a total of 100 questions.
The IBPS PO exam has negative marking also and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks are deducted.

IBPS PO Main Exams Pattern


PS PO Main will be conducted in both online and offline mode. There are 4 sections in IBPS PO Main exam viz. English, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, and General Awareness. IBPS PO Exam pattern 2020 Syllabus for the Main Examination includes an English descriptive paper which will help in understanding a person’s writing skills.

IBPS PO Interview


The candidates who have qualified the mains exam are called for a face to face interview which carries a maximum of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The interview is around 15-20 minutes generally but sometimes takes more time also. The candidate should prepare well and should be confident enough to answer the questions that are being asked. A proper panel of people from banks and institutions are there to interview and judge your ability to ask candidates about themselves, general awareness, banking sector, current affairs, etc.
