The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection popularly known as IBPS is an autonomous body. It is responsible for conducting recruitment examinations for all Public Sector Banks except the SBI. The result for the 2019 examination was declared on May 20, 2020. The IBPS is now conducting this exam for the 10th year in a row and this exam is called IBPS Clerk CWE X. It basically consists of two stages – preliminary exams and mains. There is no interview stage for this post. 100% weightage is given to the result of the main exam.
In this article, we shall focus on every aspect of this examination to help you get a better understanding and prepare for this examination to the best of your potential.


IBPS Clerk Notification

The official IBPS Notification is expected to be released in October 2020 according to the IBPS calendar 2020-21, although the dates of examination were announced with the official annual calendar. The IBPS Preliminary exams are to be conducted on 2nd, 3rd, and 19th December 2020 and mains on 24th January 2021.

IBPS CWE X – Online Application

The online applications for this exam begin in the first week of September 2020 and must be done on the official website only. The IBPS Clerk Online Application Fee is Rs 600/- for unreserved/general and Rs 100/- for SC/ST/PWD. These charges once paid will not be refunded in any case.
This examination is conducted online so the aspirants should keep these following things in mind while either applying or performing the test. To avoid any technical issues please make sure that the browser used to fill out the application form is either one the three mentioned below:
Internet Explorer 8 or above
Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or above
Google Chrome 3.0 or above
Candidates applying online must have these prerequisites:
Valid Email id
Photograph and Signature
The application fee must be paid online so all documents required for online transaction

IBPS CWE X – Admit Card

The admit card is issued once the candidate passes the eligibility criteria and has paid the fees. It contains all the essential details related to the preliminary and main exams. The IBPS Clerk Admit Card contains the following details:
Name of the candidate
Registration number/ Roll number
Exam center
Exam date
Photograph of the candidate
The admit card is issued 10-15 days before the exam date and can only be downloaded from the official IBPS website.
IBPS CWE X – Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit
unreserved/ general category – 20 years – 28 years
Candidates belonging to other categories enjoy certain age limit relaxation:
SC/ST – 5 years
OBS – 3 years
Disabled Persons – 10 years
Citizenship
Candidates applying for this exam:
Should be citizens of India
Should be subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
All Tibetian refuge of arrived prior to 1 January 1962
A person should be of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Vietnam, or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire or Ethiopia to permanently settle in India.
Educational Qualification
The candidates at least must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the government of India. They should also have passed in English as one of the subjects. Candidates must have operating as well as working knowledge of Computer Systems. For this, candidates should have followed:
Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Computer Operations/ Language or;
Should have studied Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/ Institute/ College.


IBPS CWE X – Exam Pattern

For preliminary exams – the aspirants are tested on the basis of their aptitude, intellect, and English. The candidate has to clear the cutoff in all the three sections separately to enter the next round of examinations.

For mains exams – the candidates have to complete 190 questions within the time frame of 160 mins allotted to them. There is a negative marking of 1/4th of the mark for every incorrect answer in both the stages.

IBPS CWE X – Results


IBPS declares the results on 1st April every year but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the declaration was delayed till 20th May 2020 for IBPS CWE IX 2019-20. The result is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the mains examination only. To check the results the candidates must have their registration numbers and password to log in on the official website. I hope this article was helpful and wish all the candidates good luck.
